A 60W MOPA fiber source gives us adjustable pulse width, which matters more than wattage for this work. On a nitride slide it lets us anneal the surface — a permanent, high-contrast mark that does not break the finish or create a corrosion path. On stainless it produces real color without cutting depth.
The 200mm field lens covers a full slide profile in one pass. Shops running a stock 100mm lens have to mark a long slide in two fields and stitch them, and on a $200 job you can see the seam.
We machine our own fixtures — rail-registered for slides, clamped for uppers, magnetic stops for small parts. That is what makes placement repeatable instead of approximate, and it is why a batch of twenty comes back looking like a batch of twenty rather than twenty separate jobs.
Every part is photographed on arrival before it is unwrapped, and again before it ships back.
