A die-struck coin means a die fee of several hundred dollars, a hundred-piece minimum and three to four weeks. That is not a markup, it is the tooling. We cut no die, so we can take the order that does not fit inside those numbers.

The MOPA source lets us tune pulse width, which changes how the steel oxidises under the beam. That produces a genuine spectrum on bare stainless — straw, bronze, steel blue, violet — without any coating and without cutting into the blank. It is the same physics as heat-tempering colour, controlled to the pulse.
Most shops running a standard Q-switch source cannot do this at all. If you want a coin that is not just black marking on metal, ask for it.
