Intuos Design & Laser

Before you ship

One page, and the first box on it is the one that matters. Please read it even if you have mailed parts to a shop before.

Send the slide only. Never a complete pistol.

We are not a Federal Firearms Licensee. On a Glock, M&P, P320, P365 and nearly every modern striker-fired pistol, the serialized firearm is the frame, not the slide. A bare slide is a part, which is why we can accept it from any state with no licence and no paperwork.

A complete pistol is a different thing entirely and we cannot legally take custody of one. If a firearm, a frame or any serialized component arrives here, it goes into a locked container unopened and is returned to you through a licensed carrier at your expense. There are no exceptions to this and asking will not produce one.

Stripping your slide

  1. Clear the firearm

Magazine out, chamber checked visually and physically, twice. Do this before anything else and do it away from the packing table.

  2. Separate the slide from the frame

Field strip as normal. The frame — the serialized part — stays with you. Only the slide travels.

  3. Remove the internals

Striker assembly, extractor, barrel, recoil spring, sights and optic all come out. Bare slide only. Anything left inside gets removed here, and we are not liable for small parts we did not ask for.

  4. Wrap and box it

Bubble wrap, a rigid box, and the printed packing slip from your order confirmation inside. Address and insurance details are on that slip.

Artwork we can use

This is the part that decides whether your job runs on schedule.

  • Send vector. SVG, AI, EPS, PDF or DXF with live outlines. These go straight to the machine.
  • Convert text to outlines before you export, or the font will not survive the trip.
  • Raster is billable. A JPG, PNG or phone photo of a logo has to be redrawn by hand. That is $45 and it is genuine work, not a fee.
  • Line weight has a floor. Anything under 0.2mm will not hold on a curved slide surface. We will tell you before we run it, not after.
  • Black and white only for the file itself. Colour in the finished mark comes from the laser, not the artwork.
  • Check your rights. Unit insignia, agency seals and licensed logos need permission from whoever owns them. We will ask.

Returns and liability

Every part is photographed on arrival before it is unwrapped and again before it ships back. Those photos are attached to your order and you can ask for them at any time.

If we damage a part, we replace it. If a part arrives already damaged, you will have a photo in your inbox the same day rather than a surprise at the end.
